"Blessed are you, O God, our Sovereign, your goodness comes to us new every day.  By the work of your Spirit lead us to acknowledge your goodness and give thanks for your benefits.  We praise you, especially on this day, for the legacy of Advent Lutheran Church.  As we go forth in mission in this community, and move forward in plans for building, we ask your blessing upon all who have experienced your loving grace through the ministry of Advent Lutheran Church; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen."

The Peace

"I know that it is with mixed emotions that you have come this day to present this gift, ant it is with the same mixed emotions that we receive it, for we know that this blessing comes as a result of your ministry coming to an end.  And yet, this is not an ending.  This is an opportunity to celebrate the beginning of new relationships and the continuance of the mission of the whole Church of God in Christ. So now, as members of the one Body of Christ, as we prepare to come to His table, let us share the peace of Christ. The peace of the Lord be with you always."
