Congregational Goals for 2006

January 1 - December 31, 2006

 1          Gather to grow in faith

                        Building/Facility

1.1                   Complete a master building plan

1.2                   Manage the capital campaign

            Giving of time, talent, treasure

1.3                   Treasure: 5% increase in pledged offering

1.4                   Time & Talent: 100% participation in some capacity beyond worship

 

 2          Welcome all

                        Congregational Growth

2.1                   Increase membership to meet the following: 2005 = 33, 2006 = 35, 2007 = 40 (Note: if building is completed before year end 2007, 2007 membership should be 60)

            Intentionality of RIC

2.2                   Continue work of RIC Task Force and intentional welcoming of GLBT community

                        Expand worship participation opportunities

2.3                   New Song or Youth Singers sing in worship at least 1/month

2.4                   Expand solo and small ensemble involvement in worship music / Additional music opportunities

2.5                   Continue having children bringing gifts forward during worship

2.6                   Goods collected for food pantry brought forward with gifts during worship

2.7                   Continue intentional interconnectivity between Christian Education and worship

2.8                   Introduce CREW (Children Rejoicing in Education and Worship) program for young children during worship

 

3          Worship

            Attendance

3.1                   Increase average worship attendance by at least 5%

            Worship styles

3.2                   Continue using multiple sources for liturgy and hymnody in worship

 

4          Learn

4.1                   Average 12 participants per week at adult forum

            Learning opportunities

4.2                   2 Bible studies/year beyond Sunday morning

4.3                   2 additional worship opportunities (Advent and Lent Wednesday Eve.)

4.4                   Six junior/senior high youth opportunities/events

4.5                   Six elementary school opportunities/events

4.6                   Three young children opportunities/events

4.7                   One family retreat

 

5          Fellowship

                        Focus on invitation

5.1                   Workshop / Adult Forum on invitation / evangelism

5.2                   Include reminders to invite others to events advertised internally

5.3                   Publish events in local media / identify person responsible for “telling our story” in an ongoing way

6          Comfort and Serve 

Benevolence
